Greetings, friends!
Every so often, my husband and I go on vacation with our friend Victor. We call these excursions “Boys Trip,” a name that evokes fratty mayhem despite our shared proclivity for creekside walks and storytelling beside a carefully monitored fire. Boys Trip has taken place in the woods surrounding Dushore, PA, in the surburban sprawl of Plano, TX, and across the better part of California. This week, Boys Trip is returning to its Pennsylvania roots in an A-frame cabin just across the border from Maryland. I’m looking forward to admiring the fall colors and am hoping the outhouse is as charming as it looks in the pictures (and not filled with leaping frogs, a memory that has haunted me since my summer camp era).
The remote location does however mean that I shouldn’t trust the strength of their wifi. So, I’ll be skipping this Saturday’s Sit & Write. If someone who has attended a few times already would like to host on my behalf, please let me know and I’ll get you set up.…
