First things first: Sit & Write meets this Saturday from 12-3:00pm. It's a great time to work on a project, try a writing prompt, or journal about your feelings, the state of the world, etc. Here's the facebook page. Here's the skype link. 12:30-1:00 and 2:30-3:00 are open for casual conversation or writerly shop talk. 12:30-2:30 are silent writing hours--come and go as you please, just don't disrupt your peers. On to more relevant topics: I hope all of you are aware of the uprisings throughout the country in response to the murder of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, by the police, yet another in a long string of attacks on the lives of Black Americans since the beginning of U.S. history. The ripple effect of this kind of trauma is incomprehensible.
