Enter... the matrix! + Sit & Write #79
Greetings, friends!
At last Saturday's Sit & Write, an attendee shared the "disapproval matrix," which I hadn't heard of before. It's a useful framework for anyone plagued by self-doubt. I think some of the self-doubt that's been bothering me lately is run-of-the-mill insecurity (see: "Yourself" under the Frenemies category), but some of that doubt is based on skills I have yet to acquire. So, I signed up for an online class on writing dialogue with the Gotham Writer's Workshop. I don't imagine I'll leave with a mastery of the subject after 3 weeks, but I do feel like it might give me a little confidence boost. Fingers crossed.
Moving on.... this week has two Sit & Write sessions, lucky you!
The "mini" 1-hour Sit & Write, hosted by Blue Stoop is tomorrow, Wednesday 1/27 from 4-5pm ET. This one requires registration (free) and I request that you try to be on time so we can get started right away--no drop-ins please. Register here.
The "classic" 3-hour drop-in style Sit & Write is Saturday…
