For art's sake!

For the last week or so, Zach and I have been working non-stop on a somewhat last minute art installation for pride month, to be displayed in the windows of Lansdowne's Utility Works, a studio space, about a week from now. I'll do a big reveal once it's up, but just know that it involves painting life-sized renditions of important figures from queer/trans U.S. history.
One of the first steps was measuring the space to see how big the work needed to be. As the measuring tape stretched, and stretched, and stretched from one end of the bank of windows to the other, my stomach began to flip with self doubt. What had I agreed to? And could it really all be done in such a short amount of time? Zach was confident though, so we jotted down the dimensions and headed home.
