Getting baked + Sit & Write #65
Greetings, friends!
We've been chomping our way through the half-bushel of apples we picked on my birthday but there are still so so so many left. So last night I made a pie (gluten free, mostly vegan). It's about half gone now, if that tells you anything about how it turned out. And then, after talking with Zach about feeling like I'm not doing enough to chip away at the massive, structural oppression that envelops us, I volunteered to bake some more pies for a local mutual aid project's November bake sale. These ones will be gluten free/vegan pumpkin pies in a gingersnap crust, so stay tuned for info about how to pick one up next month. Now, to spend the rest of the week testing recipes! Baking is one of the few areas in my creative life where I feel like I actually know what I'm doing more often than not. Writing on the other hand...
Speaking of which! Sit & Write meets this Saturday, 10/24, from 12-3pm ET. I'll post details at the bottom of this message for any newcomers.
