Greetings, friends!
I've been ruminating over my Facebook profile. Not because Social Media Is Bad, which it is, but because I made it in 2004 when I, like many others, had decided Myspace was passé. I posted constant status updates and albums upon albums of photos of every mundane moment of my late high school/early college life, with little to no discernment about what was appropriate to post online. Fast forward to 2020, then zoom in on the horror on my face when I realize how many pre-gender-transition photos of me exist on this easily hackable platform. Not to mention whatever NSFW shenanigans I got into freshman (and sophomore, junior, and senior) year. Yikes.
Plus, recently my workaround for making Facebook less stressful (unfollowing EVERYONE) is no longer working, and my feed is showing me all kinds of crap that raises my blood pressure. In short: I hate it. As far as I'm concerned the only things that are actually good on Facebook are a handful of groups (Buy Nothing Lansdown…
