In pursuit of "normal" + Sit & Write #41
Greetings, friends!
You've made it to week #5? 6? of quarantine and, perhaps begrudgingly, you're starting to get used to it. You have a routine now, even if it's a strange one: breakfast for dinner or candy for lunch, showers on odd numbered days or showers just when you can bring yourself to take them. Or maybe you're not getting used it. Maybe some days you just think you're used to it, and on other days you wake up from a bad dream just to be greeted with an unshakeable reality. Some days you stay inside for all 24 hours. Some days you take a walk and remember that there's a whole world out there, even if it barely resembles the world it was two months ago. Some days you think, "it's almost over!" and some days you think, "it will never be over!" and you're wrong both days. Maybe the only normal right now is our shared lack of "normal."
This Saturday is Sit & Write, a much loved part of my weekly routine. Something about the consistency of this 3 hour block keeps me feeling anchored…
