It's happening: Sit & Write #81
Greetings, friends!
Today I'm feeling nostalgic for the last time I went to a new friend's house. This was over a year ago, obviously. A mutual friend invited me to their friend's apartment and we all just talked, listened to music, ate snacks, played a game of Uno. Nothing remarkable really, barely worth writing about. But I keep returning to it, and other similarly mundane "before" moments. My last happy hour drink with a coworker. The last movie I saw in theaters ("Knives Out," I think). It's probably not great to dwell on the past, but these memories are like little flickers of warm light, and I really do think I will get to do all of this, and more, again someday. I have to believe it.
Moving on -- There's been a slight change of plans for this upcoming weekend. Cyrée Jarelle Johnson has generously offered to host Sit & Write #81 on my behalf, so please consider joining him from 12-3pm on Saturday, 2/13, for some mutual productivity time.
