Online readings + Sit & Write #39
Greetings, friends,
I thought I might pick back up with sharing "local" events--local, in this case, meaning web-based, since that's where we all live now. I'll also include info about this Saturday's Sit & Write at the end of the email.
Today, 4/7, 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET: Virtual Event with Julia Alvarez, author of "Afterlife." Free with registration.
Wednesday, 4/8, 12pm PT/3pm ET: Ayelet Waldman & Michael Chabon read online for Pegasus Books. "Ticketed" via eventbrite, but no one turned away for lack of funds. Funds go to supporting Pegasus Books, a Berkeley (CA) institution.
Thursday, 4/9, 9:30am PT/12:30pm ET: Black writing discussion group covers "Biography of a Dress," a short story by Jamaica Kincaid. A discussion followed by a writing prompt. When you sign up, you'll get a link to read the story in advance of the meeting. Free, I think.
Thursday, 4/9, 3:30pm PT/6:30pm ET: Paul Lisicky & Carter Sickels read via Zoom. Hosted by Blue Stoop. Free, probably.
Monday, 4/13, 4:30pm PT/7:30pm…
