Out and about + local events

Greetings, friends.

This week I'll be visiting friends in Minneapolis, so no Sit & Write this Saturday (unless one of y'all wants to DIY it.) I'll also take this opportunity to remind you all that our ~Official~ first meeting of Sit & Write at Kelly Writers House takes place on Saturday, 8/31. 

My mom and sister's visit was so lovely. It's always nice to introduce friends to family, as a way of explaining myself if nothing else. Sort of like saying, "See? This is where I get it from." "It," in this case, referring to my compulsive need to make sure everyone is cared for and prepared for whatever they might encounter. It's not a bad trait at all; in fact, I think it makes me a pretty good planner/organizer and a caring friend. So, kudos to Mom and Dad for laying the groundwork for all my writing workshops and meet-ups.
