Greetings, friends!

First, a poem by Safia Elhillo. The final lines have stuck with me all day and perfectly capture the weird pandemic dreams I've been having. 

I sleep twelve hours each night
& in my dreams I am fleeing a war, in my dreams
I am touching the faces of my friends, we are
each one of us touching, & even in the dream
we are afraid.

Secondly, this weekend would have been me and Zach's wedding, had the pandemic not kicked off when it did. I've been thinking a lot about coincidence lately, how things magically fall into place some times and spontaneously self-destruct at other times. I'm not one to say "everything happens for a reason" -- not really my thing, philosophically speaking. But one has to marvel at the occasionally-graceful randomness of it all. Otherwise, it's all doom and gloom.

Zach and I will spend the weekend being sweet to each other and chilling out. As such, no Sit & Write this weekend. But we'll be back on Saturday, 7/4 from 12-3pm for the 50th meetup. I didn't…
