Sit & Write #132
Greetings, friends!
I hope you are finding space to breathe between doses of this week's heavy news stories (Ukraine, Texas, etc.) Easier said that done, right? I tend to keep my schedule full, but in times like these I start to buckle under the weight my own commitments. Though I'm still behind on all the things I wrote about last week, and though my eyes are bleary from staring at screens for more hours than I care to admit day after day after day, I'm also glad for the distraction of a full calendar. Busyness is a balm for helplessness.
One of the things I'm busy preparing for is a virtual reading this Thursday! I'm excited to perform a 3-minute excerpt for the official launch of Nomadic Press' Philly chapter. The lineup is stellar and includes the editors of "How We Stay Free: Notes on a Black Uprising", as well as myself, Kirwyn Sutherland, and several others. I'll post more in the event section below, but I'd love to see you there!
