Sit & Write #173 + BOOK CLUB LAUNCH

Continuing on last week's theme of "holding myself accountable," I've decided to start a little book club called "Sit & Read." You're invited! Like Sit & Write, it's going to be 100% free and virtual. The only catch is that I'm picking the books, so it'll mostly be surreal or dystopian fiction. If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, please reply to this email and I'll add you to the Slack group. I haven't decided if we're going to have actual meetings or just chat asynchronously online—we can figure that out together.
First up, Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. Yes, this is me admitting that I've never read it. But that's about to change! You can find copies of the book at your local library (Philadelphia's library system has 14 copies—ask your librarian about inter-library loans!) or on Bookshop.org.
