The New-frickin'-Yorker!!! + Sit & Write

It's been an exciting week! First and foremost, Zach's book (well, Lou Sullivan's book, which Zach and our friend Ellis Martin edited) has been reviewed in The New Yorker. They're calling it a "radical testament to trans happiness," which is really apt. Go read the review and pre-order your copy of the book, if you haven't already!
If you live in the Bay Area or New York, consider checking out one of the release parties. There will likely be one in Philly eventually, but not confirmed yet.
Secondly, my online modern poetry class moved on from Dickinson to Whitman, and boy, what a relief. As I said last time, I'm not well "versed" when it comes to poetry, so the excerpts we read from Leaves of Grass were really surprisingly contemporary. I suppose if I had to place myself in a literary camp, it'd be his. But frankly, it's been a long time since I wrote a poem I liked, and it will likely be a long time before I try again.
