Two years later + Sit & Write #93
Greetings, friends!
Tomorrow marks TWO YEARS of Sit & Write meet-ups. And this upcoming Saturday will be our 93rd session. I used these facts to calculate the amount of time I've spent writing each year since 2019, but it only bummed me out. Sometimes adding things up makes me feel like I've accomplished something magnificent, but totaling my writing hours made me feel like there's no amount of time I could spend writing that would feel like "enough." I guess I'm just having one of those self-doubt days. But regardless of words penned or hours spent writing, I really have gained a lot from these gatherings, albeit nothing quantifiable. Like connections with local writers, which I initially struggled to make after leaving Oakland. And a consistent habit of sitting down almost every week to do something creative. And, perhaps most crucially, I gained a social lifeline during what could have been a year of pure isolation. I'm still getting feedback via the survey I sent out last week (ple…
